Winter Wander and Christmas Concert

Our December event at Stephen F. Austin State Park began with a cheerful festive atmosphere. The weather was sunny and warm. We gathered at the park to celebrate Christmas with a delightful forest concert and a scenic hike.

Volunteers gathered at the amphitheater, quickly setting up the food table and stage. Once everyone had enjoyed the delicious food, the moment arrived for Connor’s lively violin performance. Having spent the past year honing his skills and building confidence by volunteering at senior homes, Connor was excited to share his talent. As he played, the violin's soulful melodies resonated through the air, captivating the audience and creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.

Ann stepped onto the stage and proudly shared her achievements. After years of hard work at an ice cream shop as a part-time employee, she gave her best effort, aced a job interview, and received a full-time job offer from Times Square Entertainment in Katy. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for both Ann and her family, reflecting the outcome of her dedication and the unwavering support she has received from her loved ones over the years.

Before the hike, all the volunteers and special needs participants gathered on the stage to sing Christmas songs, joyfully celebrating the holiday season. The cheerful atmosphere made the two-mile hike through the forest feel easy and enjoyable. When we reached our destination, everyone stayed together, chatting and laughing, their spirits high from the shared experience.
